Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lay foil or parchment paper on a large baking sheet, set aside.
  2. If you haven’t already, cook the bacon until crispy, however you prefer to cook bacon. Chop once cooked, set aside.
  3. Take the bread and cut a circle in the top. Remove the top and tear out the inside. Careful not to tear too much of the sides out. Leave about 1 inch wall around the middle/bottom. (Save the bread that you pull out, you will serve it on the side.)
  4. Optional step-cut slices around the edge of the bread, 1/4th down, and about 1-2 inches apart. This will help guests pull apart the bread easier.
  5. Mix the cream cheese, gouda cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, beer, parsley and bacon. Save a little bacon for topping. Stir well.
  6. Pour into the bread bowl. Cover with foil, and place in oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove foil, let cook for another 5-10 minutes. Top with remaining bacon and parsley. Serve with the bread that was pulled out, crackers, pretzels, vegetables, etc. In addition, your guests will tear apart the warm bread from the bread bowl.
