Easy brown butter sage pasta. This lightly creamy pasta meal is a cozy dish of just plain wonderful. Sage, brown butter, with a hint of garlic and extra parmesan cheese. Perfect for those busy weeknight dinners when you don’t have a lot of time to make anything. Great to make for kids, my toddler loves this dish! It is also a great dish to serve for those stay-at-home date nights or impress your friends with this simple yet elegant pasta dish.
Feel free to use any type of pasta! I love Banza pasta. It is my go-to brand when I am making pasta, especially if I am not including any additional protein in my pasta dish, because they make it with chickpeas and has extra protein in it. As always, I love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and I hope you enjoy!

Instructions
-
Cook pasta according to directions. Add a decent amount of salt to the water to help boil and save 1 cup of past water before draining. While the pasta is boiling, grate your parmesan cheese.
-
Right before the pasta is done, in a separate pan (I used a large skillet) lightly drizzle olive in the pan and melt the butter. Once melted, add the sage. (For the larger leaves of sage, feel free to tear in half if you prefer) You will watch the sage crisp up and the butter brown. Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes. Reduce to medium - low heat.
-
Once the butter has browned, add the drained pasta to the brown butter and sage. Add the pasta water and garlic powder. Stir well. Add the parmesan cheese and lightly season with black pepper.
-
Stir well and let simmer for 1-2 minutes. Plate and top with extra parmesan cheese and black pepper (according to taste). Enjoy!
