What is your favorite Halloween candy? One of mine, is Reese’s! To be festive for Halloween/Fall this year and to include one of my favorite candy’s, I decided to whip up some Halloween Reese’s cookie bars! These cookie bars are loaded with peanut butter, Reese’s pieces, chocolate chips, extra peanut butter, and topped with Reese’s peanut butter cups. Very decadent, and so addicting! If you are making these for Halloween, don’t forget to add your favorite Halloween sprinkles to make it even more festive! As always, I love to hear your thoughts in the comments section, and I hope you enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick spray, set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda. Whisk well and set aside.
  3. Using a stand mixer (paddle attachment) or hand mixer, mix the butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Mix for about 20 seconds.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mix for another 30 seconds. Add peanut butter, mix until smooth.
  5. Next add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until mixed well. Stir in the peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, and ½ cups Reese’s pieces.
  6. Pour into the 9 x 13 pan and smooth out evenly. Place in oven for 25-30 minutes.
  7. After removing from the oven, let cool for 1 minute. Lightly press the Reese’s peanut butter cups (I used Reese’s pumpkin peanut butter cups to be festive for Halloween) on top of the cookie bars. Spread them out, do not put them close together. Top with the rest of the Reese’s Pieces (lightly press in if needed) and Halloween/Fall sprinkles (optional and recommended if you are making these for a Fall/Halloween event!).
  8. Let cool (about 20 minutes) serve, and simply enjoy!
