Pizza Night is a weekly tradition, but sometimes we crave something quicker, lighter, and bursting with fresh flavor. Our Hot Honey Chicken Flatbread Pizza has become our favorite new go-to.
This isn’t your ordinary takeout. This flatbread is drizzled with a slightly sweet and delightfully spicy sauce—our homemade Hot Honey—which cuts through the savory chicken, fresh spinach, and creamy cheeses. The contrast between the honey’s sweetness and the kick of spice makes this flatbread utterly delicious and incredibly addictive. It’s so good, you won’t be able to stop at one slice!
We are thrilled to share this easy meal with you. Love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Instructions
-
Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
Brush Flatbread: Mix the 2 tbsp (30 ml) Olive Oil, 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Garlic Powder, 1 dash Cayenne Pepper, and 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Smoked Paprika. Lightly brush this mixture over the top of the Flatbread, including the edges.
-
Assemble & Bake: Sprinkle the 3/4–1 cup (177–237 ml) Cooked Chicken and 1/4–1/3 cup (59–79 ml) Spinach evenly over the flatbread. Top with the 1 1/2 cup (170 g) Shredded Mozzarella. Place in the oven directly on the rack for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is golden.
-
Make Hot Honey Sauce: While the flatbread cooks, make the sauce. Combine the 1 1/2–2 tbsp (22–30 ml) Honey, 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Olive Oil, 1 tsp (5 ml) Chili Flakes, 1/8 tsp (0.6 ml) Garlic Powder, and 1–2 dashes (0.5–1 ml) Cayenne Pepper in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 15–20 seconds. Stir well to combine.
-
Drizzle & Serve: Cut the flatbread into slices and generously drizzle the warm Hot Honey Sauce over the top of the pizza. If you prefer, make extra sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
Notes
Simple Alterations (One-for-One Substitutions)
Crust Swap: Replace the pre-made Flatbread with a similarly thin base, such as a thin pizza crust or a large pita bread. These maintain the quick-cooking flatbread structure.
Protein Swap: Instead of Cooked Chicken, use an equal amount of cooked turkey, cubed ham, or crumbled cooked Italian sausage. For a vegetarian swap that still provides texture, use canned chickpeas (drained).
Cheese Swap: Substitute Shredded Mozzarella with an equal portion of provolone cheese or a mix of Monterey Jack and Cheddar. These cheeses melt easily and won't drastically change the flavor profile.
Greens & Topping Swap: Replace Spinach with an equal quantity of fresh arugula (adds a peppery note) or thinly sliced red bell peppers. These are simple 1:1 swaps that maintain the fresh topping structure.
Sweetener Swap: The Hot Honey Sauce is key, but you can swap the Honey base with Maple Syrup or Agave Nectar. Keep the same measurements for Olive Oil, Chili Flakes, and Cayenne Pepper to ensure the sauce still delivers the signature spicy kick.
