Who doesn’t love brunch!? We like to brunch every weekend at our house. This is one of my favorite go to recipes for brunch. Not only is it quick and easy to put together, simply let it bake while you prepare other brunch items, clean the kitchen, or even prep the mimosas! It is so cheesy, yet very flavorful. If you enjoy cream cheese, I am certain you will love this breakfast recipe and as always, let me know how it turns out!

Simply Cream Cheese Sausage Quiche

Simply Cream Cheese Sausage Quiche

Instructions

  1. Take your sausage and brown it in a skillet. (If using 1 lb of sausage, you will only use 1/2 of the ground sausage for the quiche). Put the sausage to the side once it is fully cooked.
  2. Preheat oven to 375.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add your eggs, 2 tbsp cream cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Whisk it all together. It will not be very smooth due to the cream cheese, and that is okay.
  4. Once your pie crust has been thawed and is in a pie pan, take 1 tbsp of cream cheese and do a thin layer of cream cheese on the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle ¼ cup of shredded cheese on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Layer the ½ pound sausage over the cheese.
  7. Add ¼ cup shredded cheese to the top of the sausage.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage.
  9. Add ½ cup shredded cheese over the egg mixture.
  10. Spray a piece of foil with olive oil or canola oil before putting it on top of the quiche, do not crease it over the edges. Lay it over the quiche loosely.
  11. Cook at 375 for 35-40 minutes on the bottom rack.
  12. Take the foil off and cook another 5-10 minutes. (stick a tooth pick in it to make sure no egg mixture comes out wet still. If it does, cook another 5 minutes)
  13. Top with parsley (optional). Let the quiche cool for 3-5 minutes and simply enjoy!
  14. *Recipe Recommendation- If you have a favorite pie crust recipe that you want to prepare, go for it instead of using a prepared pie crust. Using a prepared pie crust will help save time.
